'In- House Career Guidance Workshop' for classes XI-XII

RPS International School organised an 'In- House Career Guidance Workshop' for classes XI-XII . Ms. Garima Goyal, the School Counsellor conducted the workshop. In the workshop, she elucidated the significance of deciding the destination which is a career path and that was illustrated through various activities and by deciphering pictures. Discussing "SHE" (Successful, Happy and Effective life after deciding the end product which is a career goal), she asked the students about their criteria of deciding a career. Also, the difference between WOW( World of Work) and WOI( World of Individual) was explained along with the myriad career options available for all the three streams in detail. Ms. Goyal kept the students engaged throughout the session via assorted discussions, games and storytelling to make the workshop more productive by giving the impact of experiential learning. Webinar on " Cyber Bullying" for classes IX-XII

RPS International School, Sector 50 & Pratham jointly organised a webinar on " Cyber Bullying" for classes IX-XII on 26th December 2020. Mr Ashish Garg, who carries a vast experience in student mentoring and conducting seminars for the students, was the guest speaker of the day. As commonly, teenagers are exposed to numerous social media platforms via electronic gadgets such as phones, laptop, i- pad etc. Further, which leads them to fall into the trap of trolling, body shaming etc and become a victim of cyberbullying. The topic of the webinar was apt for the students to correlate with nowadays scenarios. Additionally, Mr Garg deciphered the meaning of cyberbullying, its tampering nature on one's mental health, its consequences and measuring steps through a short film. Hawan ceremony to invoke blessings for students

Blessings go far beyond anything; bringing abundance along with peace. For students, the blessings of their patrons and mentors are indeed a source of huge motivation.  A Hawan was organised  in the school premises to invoke blessings for the students of class X and XII. The occasion was graced by the presence of Mr. Manish Rao, CEO, RPS Group of Schools. In his address, sir spoke about the importance of discipline and persistence in the life of students.  The premises lit up with the fragrance of positivity and spiritual vibes, setting the right tone for the apt educational ambience.

The students, teachers and parents of RPS International School Sec 50, Gurugram assembler to watch the live streaming of 'Pariksha Pe Charcha 2020' by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi in the school campus itself. This session was held ahead of Class 10 and Class 12 Board exams to request the parents not to pressurize their children. The students listened to P.M. interacting with the students, teachers, and parents from the Talkatora Indoor Stadium in Delhi. He spoke about numerous subjects relating to exams and even life beyond exams. Mr. Narendra Modi urged students to be confident about their own preparation and not enter the exam hall with any sort of pressure.He appreciated the parents who allowed their children tovpursue things (if they are on the right track). Special Assembly and Flag hoisting on Republic Day

Republic Day was celebrated in all patriotic fervor at RPS International School Sec-50. The premises were reverberating with patriotic songs. The tricolor was hoisted by the school Head Girl, Runishka Rao accompanied by the Head Boy, Shreyash Verma. After the rendition of the  National Anthem, laddoos were distributed among the students, staff and support staff. The assembly ended with a thoughtful discussion on what real patriotism is in day to day life. The programme got wrapped up with the enthusiastic shouting of 'Jai  Hind'.

Workshop of teachers on 'Class Interaction'

Winners of Intra RPS Youth Parliament

Coming to school after a rejuvenating winter break is exciting indeed and this was pretty much visible on the beaming faces of RPSians in the Morning Assembly on January 16th. After an invigorating warm up session, students began the day with chanting of Gayatri Mantra and Prayer followed by regular Assembly features. Harshit Mehra, the school Vice Head Boy, welcomed his peers with a motivational talk on hopes, aspirations and new beginnings. The music department got one and all indulged in the mesmerizing rendition of 'Mercy is falling'. Principal ma'am gave away prizes to the winners of Intra RPS Youth Parliament. In her address, she welcomed the students back to school, urging them to gear up for upcoming Sports Day, without compromising on their studies. After that she also motivated the students to participate in RPS Olympiad 2020. The assembly got wrapped up with the National Anthem.

Lohri Celebrations

Lohri, a harvest festival  was celebrated at RPS International School Sec 50 Gurugram with a lot of enthusiasm and fervor.  Lohri marks the end of the winter season .Therefore, it is a seasonal festival. It is also considered a harvest festival and it is an important day for the farmers. Amidst the cold weather of new year 2020, the school staff experienced some respite as they were involved in a spirit of celebrating Lohri, the festival of holy bonfire. The School Principal Mrs. Bindu Gupta lit the fire. Everyone worshipped the holy fire and groundnuts and sweets were also distributed to all. After Poojan, everyone danced and sang around the bonfire. Giddha and Bhangra Dance was performed by the teachers. They sang the traditional song ”Dulla Bhatti Wala”.Entire campus boomed with ecstasy as the teachers celebrated Lohri and welcomed new year with a lot of exuberance and fanfare.
